Dab Review: OSCC Rhode Island Drops First-Ever Cold Cure Live Rosin

A symphony of fruity flavors that makes for a splendid daytime concentrate

OSCC RI has been one of the leading cultivators in the state of Rhode Island for quite some time. This past year was one of its biggest yet, taking home multiple awards across various competitions and categories.

So when I heard that OSCC was dropping a batch of its first-ever cold cure live rosin, I knew I had to get my hands on some at the Thomas Slater Compassion Center.

With “Dun Wright” as the brand’s motto, I had to put it to the test myself. I picked up a gram of Purple Jellato (Purple Vapor X Gelato 33) bred by Dungeons Vault Genetics, a cultivar I hadn’t yet tried. When it comes to anything purple or grape, or anything gelato or fruity-gas leaning, I’m all in—so I figured this would hit the spot.

Compared to many other producers in the state, OSCC’s packaging stands out. Instead of the typical cardboard box, the team there opts for a branded mylar bag that holds the jar—a unique and sleek presentation.

Testing at over 85% total active cannabinoids (TAC), this one’s a heavy hitter with outrageous flavor. While I didn’t see terpene test results listed, the scent and taste suggest a rich profile—I wouldn’t be surprised if they tested quite high.

Purple Jellato is superb in quality. On the nose, I picked up sweet citrus notes, hints of lilac and lavender, and an undertone of sharp gas—more like fruit rind than road fuel or rubber.

The flavor is pungent and lingers long after the dab. It reminds me of Life Savers or some other classic hard candy—sweet, bright, and memorable.

Despite being a sativa, it wasn’t overly racy or sedative—just the right balance. Purple Jellato gave me euphoric energy and creative inspiration, perfect for enjoying the nicer days. There’s something about a symphony of fruity flavors like this that makes for an excellent daytime dab.

If you’re thinking about adding some OSCC rosin to your headstash, I highly recommend grabbing a jar while supplies last. They’re dropping unique strains and clearly put a lot of passion and love into everything they do.
