Great Vapes: Three Hot And Delicious Reliable Handhelds

Demoing top-notch disposables from Micro Bar, Perpetual, and Packs

There are many good and even several excellent vapes on the Mass market. Longtime leaders like Fernway deliver while spicing it up with anticipated special releases, but there are also others making waves and finding faithfuls who are looking to blow clouds without a dab rig or a big old stinky bowl of flower.

While we hate to use the word trendy to describe products that are this outstanding, that’s exactly what these three selections are. From electric colors to sleek and unique devices sure to catch the eye of fellow stoners looking for a puff outside the restaurant or family function where these handles come in handy, they are all worth gripping whether you’re a vape aficionado or you simply keep one in your kitchen drawer or glove compartment as a backup.

You may have seen the Packs Disposable around town. With a 2g pre-heatable pushbutton reservoir tank topped with a soft rubber tip, it’s like an ice cream cone-shaped art eraser with the sweet flavors and cherry top to match. They come in distillate or live resin versions, and our faves have been the Guava Bubblegum and Jelly Dulce options of the latter.

Three of us have passed one of the mega vapes from Packs around for months, swapping it between different cars and backpacks where it has been banged around and kept in a variety of extreme temps. And not only does it still have gas left in the tank, but it’s somehow just as flavorful as it was for the first few hits. It also has fantastic haptic action, making for some seriously satisfying suction.

While the Micro Bar is more than just a sexy sidepiece, it’s necessary to acknowledge its aesthetic edge. Tinier than Derek Zoolander’s flip phone, it has the boxy body of an ’80s boombox with kaleidoscopic colors inspired by pot culture of decades prior. As are the varieties, with Strawberry Fields, Pineapple Express, Orange Tangie, and Blueberry Kush vapes bridging gassy classics with sweeter contemporary cravings. A total pleasure, we recommend one for every room in your funhouse.

Finally, we have been puffing on the all-in-one distillate Perpetual Mini Vapes. These single-gram palm rockets are super discreet—until you fire one up. Almost every person that we passed one to did the same thing—they mouthed it, inhaled a hefty hit of more vapor than they expected, then exhaled a cumulus cloud and held it up to admire the pretty and powerful pod. With a frequent price point of forty dollars or lower, it’s no wonder that these are becoming more ubiquitous.

All of the Perpetual profiles impressed, but we especially enjoyed the cool Cactus Quencher and Granddaddy Purp. And with a 280 mAh battery and barrel manufactured by Finished Goods, none of us had any problems with them dying before we remembered to charge it. Or with it jamming.

Come to think of it, that was our experience with all three of these. We’ve come a long way from dry mouths and headaches on this front, and while not everyone is sold on their charm yet, from now on we will be perpetually packing micro vapes like these.
