Pot Shots: Flower Expo 2024

New products, parties, prerolls, and a giant floating drone bong

Despite some heat from regulators ahead of the show and a few patches of rain on day two, this year’s Massachusetts Flower Expo was a grand spectacular by many means, from impressive installations and a drone light show to the overall spread of what’s new on or coming soon to menus all around the state. Held at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Greenfield, it marked the start of summer for an industry facing exciting times as well as notable uncertainty.

Over the course of Wednesday and Thursday, those who cultivate, manufacture, and wholesale weed in the Mass regulated market networked and brokered deals with retailers who in turn service the public. By design, the second day was the domain of budtenders, who got to check out strains and thangs so they can keep end users in the know.

We’ll be processing all kinds of interviews from the event and writing about dozens of products we saw there in the coming weeks. For now, here’s a photo dump from both days of the expo, full of proof that while the industry is growing up, it still knows how to party.
