NORML Is saddened to report the passing of longtime marijuana and countercultural activist John Sinclair. He was 82 years old.

“These data indicate that the legal, regulated cannabis market is displacing the underground marketplace.”

Vice President Harris stopped the room to take a moment and say in the clearest words that “we need to legalize marijuana.”

“30 studies found evidence for substitution, 17 for complementarity, 14 did not find evidence for either, and four found evidence for both.”

“And 29% of these border dispensaries adjoin a neighboring state with less permissive cannabis laws.”

“This Black History Month, NORML recognizes the devastating harms of America’s drug war on Black communities, families, and individuals across the nation.”

According to statewide polling, 72% of residents support the “legalization of marijuana for recreational use.”

“The risks to the public health posed by marijuana are low compared to other drugs of abuse,” such as benzodiazepines — a Schedule IV drug, or alcohol, which is unscheduled.

“Prohibiting adults from accessing these products from state-licensed retailers will not eliminate consumers’ demand for them.”
