Dunkin’ Donuts, dabbing birds, cheeseburger sunsets, and easter egg weed nuggets among the submissions
There’s been a lot of talk and news this past week about the Massachusetts Seal, Flag, and Motto Advisory Commission tapping three finalists pitching a new Bay State flag, seal and motto. The picks were whittled down from more than 1,150 submissions, most of which were aggressively awful.
But there’s something much more entertaining than the political proxy wars raging on social media over the proposed flag finalists. That’s of course the submissions that include or kind of perhaps somewhat reference cannabis, along with those which appear to have been created under the influence of weed. We mean that as a compliment, of course.
At this point, it wouldn’t be outrageous to stitch in something about marijuana on the state flag. We all love some cranberries, but cannabis surpassed that South Coast crop as the commonwealth’s most lucrative in 2022 and still holds the position.
