The first in “a quarterly series to showcase a variety of local musicians, mixed media artists, and vendors.”
As we approach actual licensed social consumption in Massachusetts, organizers aren’t waiting to host events or even festivals. It’s all about staying creative and within the law, and of course doing something interesting to pull crowds since cannabis isn’t enough of a draw on its own anymore.
This Friday, the team from House Call Events has such a party—Next (sn)Act Vol.1—planned for Warehouse XI in Somerville. For $25 “you’ll enjoy a complimentary bounce back card good for a free ‘gift’ from local dispensary Cookies located seconds from the venue, a three-course tasting menu crafted by our friends in Central Square Althea, and all access to a rhythmic flow of entertainment from local 420 friendly barnstormers from the Comedy Studio and local alternative, blues, and electronic musical performances.” Plus “custom clothing design and a tattoo/illustration artist.”
The party is supported by sponsors from Fernway, Cookies, Levia, and WYLD, and designed “to bring education and awareness to the community to enrich the integration of cannabis culture into our local arts community.” Organizers say it is the first in “a quarterly series to showcase a variety of local musicians, mixed media artists, and vendors.”
