Upcoming Massachusetts Cannabis Holiday Markets And Parties

The Weedaker Group and New Día teamed up for the HoliDía Market on Lansdowne Street

“Come shop the menu, which has some great holiday deals, or just come and support the artists and the vendors.”

Boston

We stopped by the HoliDía Market at New Día on Lansdowne Street last Sunday, and if you missed the party then don’t worry too much because there are still two more in store—this coming Sunday, Dec. 10, then again on the 17th.

“The idea was that it is a crazy time of year, so it’s time to relax, have some hot bevvies, massages, and support small businesses first and foremost,” said New Día Market Manager Jackie Brayman. “It gets a little slow down here when it’s not Red Sox season, so we’re just trying to give people as many reasons to come to the Fenway neighborhood as possible.”

In addition to the products they already carry in the Bay State’s first and only massive cheeba galleria, the holiday happenings also include original art, handcrafted gifts, a tea lounge, live entertainment, vintage threads, smoking goods, and more. Jordan Mackenzie Whittaker of the Weedaker Group helped organize the events, and explained how they assembled the eclectic collective.

“We reached out to our network and asked them to do the same,” she said. “The three-week series has over 50 small businesses. The idea is that there’s something for everyone here—come shop the menu, which has some great holiday deals, or just come and support the artists and the vendors and creatives who are here with their holiday bundles.”

“We tried to create a whole vibe,” Sarah Kouhaila of the Weedaker Group said. “It’s such a gem of a place, and it’s so deceiving when you walk by, so we tried to really utilize the space and create some magic.”

If you’re in the area and shopping for the holidays on Newbury Street, also check out Rooted In, where their Holidaze Deals events run from their one-year anniversary celebration with Happy Valley and Farnsworth today (Dec. 8) through the 20th, and in addition to sweet bundles feature a Coast Cannabis hot chocolate bar on Dec. 9, a bake(d) shop with Clebby’s on Dec. 17, and classes in between plus a Bong + Bowl Paint Night to boot.

The Berkshires

Out in Western Mass, The Pass in Sheffield is hosting their “first-ever consumption event.” Their Holidaze party goes down at Bogies in Great Barrington on Saturday, Dec. 16, and will feature “several other cannabis partners” including Breath Free, Coast, Harbor House, Impressed, and SunDrift.” Plus “giveaways, raffles, and tastings for all guests.” You can RSVP here.

Springfield

It says a lot about the love that 6 Brick’s customers have for the Springfield dispensary that its team is returning with a second annual Ugly Sweater Christmas Party. People who shop there are dedicated enough to sport their most hideous green and red crewnecks, and they’re not alone. This year’s festivities are on Dec. 16 at White Lion Brewery in Springfield, with 6 Brick’s bringing friends along from Rove, Chill Medicated, Wana, and Aruna. Also featuring a beer pong tournament and raffle.
