Upcoming: “Seeing Through The Smoke” Book Release

A reading, signing, and discussion spurred by Dr. Peter Grinspoon’s new book

The Cannabis Center of Excellence is a nonprofit that conducts studies and programs related to cannabis and social justice, and whose “network of industry professionals, academics, policy makers, healthcare providers, consumers, and patients who aim to break the stigma and advance social justice in the cannabis industry.”

So it’s right on brand for them to host an upcoming book release event for Dr. Peter Grinspoon, a Harvard-trained physician and author who “has spent years researching the effects of marijuana on the human body and mind”—and whose father is the iconic Harvard Medical School psychiatrist Lester Grinspoon whose early cannabis intrigue, research, and advocacy helped pave the road to where we are today.

Peter Grinspoon’s latest book is Seeing Through the Smoke, A Cannabis Specialist Untangles the Truth about Marijuana, and is billed as “a comprehensive guide to understanding the truth about marijuana, including its benefits, risks, and legal status.” We’ll be taking a deeper look and speaking with the author soon, but for now here’s more from the event hosts below:

Join us for a book launch gathering with Dr. Peter Grinspoon, cannabis specialist and author of his new book ‘Seeing Through the Smoke, A Cannabis Specialist Untangles the Truth about Marijuana’ together with Dr. Marion McNabb, Canna Center of Excellence.

The event is on May 9 at the BU Build Lab in Boston, starting at 6:30 PM, and we are hoping to provide a forum/discussion for academics, students, activists and members of the industry or policy makers. It will be a general discussion of cannabis science and policy, with lots of time/space for questions.

Whether you’re a longtime cannabis user, curious about cannabis and its uses, or just interested in learning more, ‘Seeing Through the Smoke’ is a must-read. Don’t miss your chance to meet the author and get your own signed copy at this book launch gathering!
