Under the theme “Rise of the Dark Feminine,” three-day event includes sessions, meetups, music, and performances
If you’re lost in search of answers on a range of psychedelic topics, you may find direction starting this Friday at the Women & Entheogens conference in Boston.
Taking place in Dorchester from July 24 to the 26th, the gathering is “rooted in ancestral wisdom and expanded through modern integrative practice,” and “explores the relationship between people, the body, community, and entheogens through education, dialogue, embodied care, and shared experience.” More from the organizers below:
The Women & Entheogens Conference was brought into form through the shared vision and leadership of Kai Wingo in Cleveland Ohio in 2015, inspired by Baba Kilindi Iyi and continued by Mama Ayana Iyi,—a family lineage of collaborators whose work helped shape spaces where plant medicine, community healing, and cultural integrity could meet. Today, this vision continues through Mama Ayana Iyi, carrying forward the roots they cultivated together.
Nikki Morgan, the co-organizer of Women & Entheogens, told Talking Joints Memo, “While the conference is certainly our immediate focus, it’s also part of a much larger vision called Heal a Woman, Heal a Nation—a year-round ecosystem dedicated to education, embodiment, research, cultural dialogue, leadership, and community-supported care. Our intention is to create meaningful bridges between researchers, clinicians, educators, artists, policymakers, spiritual practitioners, and everyday community members who are helping shape the future of this emerging field.”
Sessions include “Psychedelic Art Therapy,” “Healing Ancestral Patterns Through Iboga and Energy Medicine, “‘No is a Complete Sentence’ Self Defense,” and “Inner Child Session with Movement & Music.” More from the conference announcement below:
