5 Massachusetts Cannabis Strains We’re Already Loving In 2025

Gelonade, Grape Cream Cake, and a Super Boof from a new cultivator

Some of us are not able to smoke in our apartments. That means if we are consuming flower at this time of year, we’re heading out into the tundra. And that means we are really only burning the best of the best. The year is still young, and many more will come, but here’s what we’re already smoking in 2025 that you may find memorable too …

Trifecta Farms Super Boof

Anyone who’s had some Super Boof has had some remarkable Super Boof—no matter who the hell grew it. It’s one of those strains that is basically cheating, since even weaker phenotypes and examples from lesser grows can shine. But folks, smokers, take it from us, newcomer Trifecta Farms is no weakling. And its Super Boof puts lesser versions of the strain to shame.

Similar to how Trifecta’s Ethanol—another eighth that belongs on your to-do list—notches the gas way past other petro-fresh selections out there, this Boof is somehow even more tropically gifted than most. A berry milkshake with a honey drizzle and some racketballs to boot, this Boof is the truth, Ruth.

Tower Three Moonbutter

The mark of a great artist is that critics always say things like, I know I said this last time, but this really is their best shit yet. That may actually be the case for Moonbutter, the latest utter banger from the all-star team at Tower Three in Taunton.

Smooth and earthy like its Butterwolf affiliate, Moonbutter shreds into perfectly fluffy and kaleidoscopic green and orange potpourri. This borderline sweet number lingers, as so many of the greats do; leave it out and it will stink up your whole crib, even after you quickly smoke the whole jar which is inevitable.

Blackstone Valley Cannabis Juicee J

We recently visited this grow in Uxbridge, and are excited to show you where greatness of this caliber comes from in an upcoming video. In the meantime, we thoroughly enjoyed the tight and dense MAC 1 nuggets along with the rest of Blackstone’s killer output, but this indica magic won us over more than the others.

Juicee J is an outstanding escape from frigid winter climates, with the smell of summer reaching everywhere the stench does, from your upper lip to your neighbor’s front porch. Stinking of freshly cut grass and Kool-Aid, it tastes like amber incense, cardamom, honey, and tea. Perhaps most importantly, the head change is significant, bringing that headband-like high we are always chasing.

Blackstone Valley Cannabis Grape Cream Cake #3

It’s hard to imagine any head not swelling over this number from Blackstone, but grape seekers may be a little disappointed, since there’s much more cream and citrus than Welch’s in these brilliant buds. As it turns out, Grape Cream Cake #3 smacks exactly like an orange creamsicle. There is also a current of black currant, which all together makes for a terpene bouquet of boxed red wine and resin.

Cloud Cover Gelonade

Cloud Cover often brings picks that we don’t see from many other cultivators in the Bay State, if any, and Gelonade is definitely special and unique. Smelling strongly of lemons and cake batter, it’s a bit of a weirdo, with toasty notes even before it starts to smoke. There’s also some berry bliss afoot, centered on the mighty strawberry, but it all boomerangs back to the lemon. If you’re looking for a sweet and tart strain without any gas in the background, and that delivers a pretty immediate and hazy headchange, Gelonade belongs in your stash.
