Join Us On July 16 At Quincy Cannabis To Rally Against The Repeal

Fight the effort to close Mass dispensaries and hear from psychedelics advocate Jamie Morey

As we have been screaming about in various forums for months, there is currently a serious political threat to the Massachusetts cannabis industry. A small group of prohibitionists with millions in out-of-state funding are trying to close adult-use dispensaries through the ballot initiative process.

Their proposal is misleadingly called an Act to Restore a Sensible Marijuana Policy, and it’s likely going to appear on the ballot in Massachusetts on Nov. 3. There’s a lot to discuss, but nothing as important as spreading the word for people to vote No!

That’s why we’re inviting you to join us and Quincy Cannabis Co. on Thursday, July 16 for our Keep It Legal party and live interview taping. More details below …

Who

This event is hosted by Quincy Cannabis Co. and presented by Talking Joints Memo. TJM Editor Chris Faraone will conduct the interviews. Thanks to Vangarden Cannabis, Holiday Vapes, and Farmer’s Cut for sponsoring as well. Our guest is from the Massachusetts 501(c)(3) nonprofit Mass Healing.

Please note: While we support all anti-repeal efforts and expect individuals from various activist and ballot-related groups to join us, we are not officially affiliated with them. Rather, what we’re demonstrating with these events is that it is up to everybody to help fight this referendum, not just the usual groups these things typically fall on.

What

For this installment of our series, we asked Mass Healing Co-Founder & Executive Director Jamie Morey to record a live interview at our event. In addition to her relevant experience in market research and knowledge of the contemporary plant medicine movement, she was also directly involved with the failed Yes on 4 campaign to legalize psychedelics. They faced off against the same people who are now trying to repeal legal cannabis—and lost. Let’s hear what they learned so we don’t lose this one too.

We will also interview cannabis industry workers and customers about their thoughts on the issue, and there will be time for networking and idea sharing. Snacks and refreshments will be served, and games will be played.

Why (About the Series)

The fight to keep adult-use cannabis legal in Massachusetts was not anticipated, but it is a battle we need to confront head-on in the lead up to the Nov. 3 election.

Camp Keep It Legal is a series of engaging events hosted by Talking Joints Memo planned to educate and motivate cannabis consumers and advocates to combat prohibitionist disinformation from the repeal campaign.
