Portion of proceeds from Scotch & Soda, Purple Milk, and The Drip to benefit Tough Warrior Princess
With the number of cannabis business workers and owners who discovered the plant in their search for relief and to augment traditional health care regimens, it’s no surprise that Breast Cancer Awareness Month sees lots of industry participation. This year, there’s an especially bright example on the North Shore.
The Lynn-based Bostica’s new limited edition Pink Line comes in a sleek black and pink package, but is worth copping for more than just the aesthetics and genetics. A portion of each unit sold goes to Tough Warrior Princess, a “local 100% volunteer-run nonprofit organization based in Amesbury that is dedicated to providing support, comfort and other resources to those affected by cancer throughout the Massachusetts’ North Shore and Southern New Hampshire.”
Bostica explains, “Each dispensary that orders it contributes to the donation by matching the portion made from the proceeds of their order, dollar for dollar.” The company will share an update at the end of the month with how much it donated and which dispensaries participated in raising the money.
As for the green, Bostica is packing Pink Line mylars with: “Scotch & Soda (Hybrid): A calming nighttime high with notes of aged oak barrels and bright, bubbly soda”; “The Drip (Sativa Hybrid): Sweet and creamy flavor with an upbeat and energetic high that lifts the mood and sharpens focus”; and “Purple Milk (Hybrid): Subtle fruity flavor gives way to a powerful and long-lasting high that starts with creative energy and uplift before settling into a euphoric, deeply relaxing chill.”
Bostica credits the project to Jill Osborn, its chief people officer, who has been fighting breast cancer and took the initiative. The company wanted to do something actionable, and following her researching potential partner organizations, Osborn approached Tough Warrior Princess, which has brought comfort in her own cancer journey.
